Today has been tiring, but productive.
I finally fell asleep after 5:30 - yes, am - and woke at 8:30. I actually ate breakfast. I know, right? So weird.
But I managed to go get groceries with my sister-in-law (though how she can turn a quick trip to the store into a 90-minute event is beyond me), bake a cake, prepare mashed potatoes for tomorrow, marinate chicken for tomorrow (feeding 7 people for my mother in law's birthday). With the hubby's help I also put away laundry, washed laundry, did the dishes (twice - the third will be the morning), hung up laundry to dry, and took down the Christmas Decorations.
By lunch, I was so exhausted that I said "fuck this" and I took a nap. What was going to be a short kip was a four hour event and I awoke sleep-warm and snuggled next to my husband.
Of course, that meant a late dinner, but it's now 3:30 am and I had time to play with my mom and sister, which was awesome.
But this means another day that I haven't been able to finish editing Merinthophilia...and won't be able to even start until Tuesday at the soonest. Gah.
At least I was productive. :)

Date: 2014-02-17 09:34 am (UTC)I must apologize, I'm one of those people who can make shopping trips go on forever. I just like to take my time and enjoy looking at things. Even when I try to keep it strictly business I always have to poke around the baking/cooking aisle/stores c;

Well.. depends on the trip, for me. I like to wander, but I have rules, I guess. If someone says "it's a quick trip, in and out..." it'd better be a bloody quick trip!
I pick up cold items last because frankly I don't want anything to spoil, so when she said "well, let's grab xyz and be done" I was expecting TO BE DONE..... not follow her around the store for another half hour while cold stuff got warm!!!!!!! If I know I'm going to wander, I just grab shelf-stable, wander, grab the cold, check out and I'm gone.
I also don't expect to be told "to Location and back" then it be FIVE STOPS where she has to browse EVERY STORE while frozen shrimp is thawing all over the trunk and I'm sort of just screaming internally. ^^.;

Date: 2014-03-02 04:23 pm (UTC)Ah. Then I can sympathize. For me it's usually Cameron who wants me to hurry up so when I'm ready to rush and he takes ages/no idea what he wants...then I get frustrated.
Oh. Well that's just bad. And frustrating.
Cold is always last -nod- We can't risk that delicious icecream, now can we? c;
