Last weekend, Mom and I drove down to southern California – we visited with my aunt, uncle, and my cousin and her family. I had SUCH a great time! Of course, we visited Disneyland, as well.

On the way home, we stopped by Bravo Farms (bravofarms.com), and I picked up some delicious things. I got some crystallized ginger, white cheddar, some white cheddar with garlic, and some dutch-style cheese, as well as some other odds and ends – including a Pomegranate Grille sauce. The sauce can be found here, or at Bravo Farms ( http://www.stonewallkitchen.com/prdsell.aspx?L0=specialtyfoods&L1=sauces&L2=GrilleSaucesnMarinades&L3=PomegranateGrilleSauce )

Last night, I made garlic shrimp, so tonight, I had to use the pork chops I had taken from the freezer… can’t waste food!

Ingredients:
3-4 tablespoons of Pomegranate Grille sauce, 1 tbs per porkchop
Gouda Cheese
Panko bread crumbs

I preheated the oven to 350,  and poured the Pomegranate Grille sauce over the porkchops. then I brushed it across both sides. I didn’t want alot of it. The sauce had a bit of a pungent smell and a sharper taste, so I used my spiffy new cheese grater to grate some gouda cheese. I used 6-7 slides down per chop.

Might want to do it in batches, since it’s a creamy cheese and likes to stay together.

I put the pork chops (in their casserole dish) into the oven for about 10 minutes, then sprinkled a little bit of panko on top, and let it go back in.

Once the porkchops were fully cooked, I turned on the broiler, and put the dish under it until the tops were golden, brown, and delicious.

It had a warm taste – no pork flavor was sacrificed, just enhanced. I even got mom to eat gouda cheese! lol It was delicious, to me.

I paired this with kraft mac and cheese (mom wanted it) and some fresh baby spinach. For a dressed on the spinach, I used about a tablespoon of wishbone italian dressing and a tablespoon of sunnyD, along with 4 shakes of lemon pepper.  I mixed it up and let it sit while I finished plating, then drizzled it over the spinach. The sunnyD picked up pomegranate in the pork chops, and I loved the yummy crunchy spinach.

I love spinach. Love love love it!!!

So.  End consensus? Broiler ftw. Gouda and pomegranate porkchops is a major win.  Spinach with citrusy-bitter dressing? Uber win.

Also, Bravo Farms has amazing cheese. Omnomnom!!!!
